A new design

 I've been trying to create a Lady Oscar more prone to the tragedy, more brave and with more suffering traits. I was trashing lots of previous designs. Finally I think I like this one the most. I did not want to copy the anime or manga designs. I wanted to create a mature Oscar in my style.

I like the 1979 anime characters design, you can even see the physical development of each character. They turn gloomy as the revolution comes, you can feel the tension in the environment despite the glamour of Versailles. Personally I think the 1976 animation is a work of Art.

Well....I hope to post something new before the end of this year.

Bath

Finally I have time for posting a beru drawing! I planned to make it as soon as came from New Year's trip. However, I started to work and I was busy 'til friday.
Now that I'll be at home all March due to the Corona virus, I will have more time for drawing and doing some Art. Here's one I finished painting today. Nothing like a refreshing bath!

Not woman, not a child

If!Lately I am painting a lot! I was watching tutorials from artists and I was nicely impressed of how they also are perfectionist... I thought it just happens to me 😅 it's good to know there are people like me in the Art environment!! Recently I am in a internet group of artists feedback and I just love it! The critics and comments with base and fundamentals are soooo helpful!!!! I always take the comments from artists who draw better than me as encouragement for improvement.

Dealing with Perfectionism

Hi again! After finished the art gigs I got to work, finally I'm back! It's s pleasurable to draw my favorite Manga characters however, dealing with perfectionism is hard. There is always something that I don't like in my drawings and I redo, redo and re do it. Sometimes my drawings end up in the trash can...is this a disorder?. Most of the times is so frustrating, because even people like my artwork, to me it's not enough. My hubby told me many times 'you're your own enemy' 😅
Well, with this in my mind, I have more than 100 drawings in my berubara binder, I never posted them because of the freaking perfectionism. Hopefully this blog will help me to get rid of this! I hope so!😅 If you are reading this nonsense writing anywhere, Thank you dear reader!

Those scenes!

There are movie scenes that makes us laugh, some makes us think and analyze. But there are those that makes us feel and cry. The heart breaking scene that undoubtedly made me cry...it was the death of Oscar's lover and friend Andre. I was just a child when I saw that! Since then, I was never the same little girl who liked noisy and goofy cartoons. I discovered that good artwork can shoot, strip, and tear apart your heart. Of course, it has to  be a well done work (with good base and research). Yes, Versailles Rose is a master piece of manga/anime, so simple and complex at the same time. The drawings are basic anime, the music is outstanding and the plot is unique. Since that day, the desire of telling a story graphically was seeded in my heart.

Notre Dame

Here again. After a very busy week, here back to my drawing table. I created this drawing before all the rush and noise of the artistic events in the past week. For a long time I had in my mind this composition of Notre Dame and the Versailles rose (yes, for me the rose isn't Marie Antoinette!😆). My idea was to make the cathedral majestic and stunning and Oscar as a simple human who can't do anything against the destiny's plans. It also  inspired me the idea of Oscar going to prince Joseph funerals. The anime scene of the last hours of prince Joseph was nice...after many years I still remember a Oscar crying in front of her window. I think the anime shows us in some episodes a Oscar with mother instincts. How disappointing!🤣(just kidding).  Well, enjoy the pic!
